Lemon Honey Pots de Crème

She has done it again- Reeni from Cinnamon Spice & Everything Nice posted this gorgeous recipe for baked lemon custard earlier today, and I must say, it looks beyond delicious (I knew I bought those ramekins for something!).

Ikea Hackers

I had no idea this site existed until today- behold IKEAHackers, your one-stop DIY shop for reinventing famed IKEA pieces.  There are some really cool ideas on here- everything from links on how to create a floating, fan-cooled entertainment unit, to a kids' Snow White play kitchen.  You can even check out the tutorials by furniture series.

A Point In Space

"This whole earth which we inhabit is but a point in space. How far apart, think you, dwell the two most distant inhabitants of yonder star, the breadth of whose disk cannot be appreciated by our instruments? Why should I feel lonely? is not our planet in the Milky Way? This which you put seems to me not to be the most important question. What sort of space is that which separates a man from his fellows and makes him solitary? I have found that no exertion of the legs can bring two minds much nearer to one another." - H. D. Thoreau, Solitude

Jeffrey Moser: "The 3-D World of Barnabas Ruth" and Other Untold Stories

Being a fan of all things vintage, as well as photography and film in general, anything involving or combining the two is something that grabs my attention.  Insert Jeffrey Moser's work here, hands down some of the most awesome photographic studies I've ever seen.  His use of extremely rare and unusual photographic processes- including pollygraph, 3-D manipulation, and recordio disc- paired with carefully selected written works are at best described as aw-inducing looks into the history of the medium.  Incorporating the use of found objects (in this case, film and whatever writings come along with it), Moser creates "vignettes of photographic history [that] reveal the power of the written word when paired with the photograph-as-evidence" (artist statement)

His website, which you should take the time to look at and read, is a virtual museum of oddities that will delight even the most esoteric of photo aficionados.  In addition to the painstaking research he presents, read the stories behind how he came to be in possession of so much awesome photo antiquity.

Moser is currently showing work at Lowercase Gallery in Wrightsville, PA.
